Edinburgh-based specialist IT performance and segmentation security company Assure APM has appointed Neil Anderson as their Director of Cyber Security Services, in order to further bolster their cyber defence solutions and meet the demands of an increasingly-growing security market.
Neil, who recently left the post of Director at Bastion Networks, brings with him over a decade of experience in cyber security.
Mr Anderson also previously worked as Security Architect with the Royal Bank of Scotland’s Global Network Solutions division. Before that, he served as the Principal Consultant leading the Infrastructure Protection and Mobility team within Dell SecureWorks’ consultancy division.
As part of Assure APM, Mr Anderson will have a hands-on role managing vendors while seeking out potential fits for the companies’ innovative solutions and client portfolio. He will also work on refining the security strategy for Assure APM and taking it to the market.
Doug More, CEO of Assure APM, said: “Neil is an excellent fit for Assure. Our team are all highly capable and, with his vast background in cyber security and consultancy, Neil is sure to fit right in and help Assure APM lead the way in performance management technology.”
Speaking of his new role, Neil Anderson said: “I want cyber security to be an enabler for business rather than a blocker. I’m very excited to join the team at Assure APM, with whom I can protect businesses while they innovate, allowing them to do things they wouldn’t have been able to without the proper security.”
Assure APM launched in Edinburgh in 2015 and their services have already been used in a range of organisations across public and private sectors including Baillie Gifford, Barchester Healthcare and Angus Council.
