Hot Tin Roof has woken up every morning for the past 20 years and made news. We are storytellers, we are creatives and we are influencers. We make things happen.
Last month we brought together former clients, suppliers, partners, team members and family to celebrate 20 extraordinary years. The biggest tribute was that so many of the original Hot Tin Roof clients came – including our first two! Thank you to everyone who turned out and to catching up with those who could not make it.
It takes a very special person to thrive in PR and I am lucky to have worked with some of the best. Hot Tin Roof is a collective of talent and skills but more importantly we share a hunger to do the best for the team and the companies we work for.
It genuinely seems like yesterday when I sat at my kitchen table with a bondi blue imac G3, dial-up internet and made my first media call from a rotary telephone.
So much has changed over the last 20 years and Hot Tin Roof has always been in the thick of the action. In 2002, Google was just four years old. And it would be four years until Twitter launched.
We work with pioneers, innovators and disruptors. Over 200 companies have put their trust in us to tell their story. What a privilege to be part of their story and to be an agent of change in so many industries.
Digital technology has been the unbroken thread that has run through those 20 years. From telling the world about pay-per-click (PPC) in 2002, big data in 2004 and the cloud in 2009 and now we are working on smart cities and robots.
Every day has been an adventure. You never know what is going to happen, which is probably a good thing, to be honest!
We go into our next decade confident and ambitious. And that is exciting for me. I can’t wait to see what the next chapter of Hot Tin Roof holds and where the new generation will take Hot Tin Roof.
