Vital Energi, the UK energy solutions specialist, has been officially certified as a Great Place to Work, as the company’s headcount grows to more than 860 people across its offices nationwide.
The certification, awarded by Great Place to Work following an independent employee survey, comes as the company continues a sustained period of growth. Vital Energi’s group turnover has risen from £209m in 2022 to £275m in 2025, driven by an expanding portfolio of renewable energy generation, infrastructure and asset ownership projects across the UK.
More than 90% of Vital Energi’s people took part in the survey that underpins the certification, which it submitted for the first time this year. The result, the company says, reflects an effort to preserve a close-knit culture even as the business has scaled rapidly in size and geographic reach. Almost 80% of employees said they feel a strong sense of loyalty to the business, and 87% said they have confidence in the leadership team.
The certification reflects not only Vital Energi’s commitment to quality, but also its continued investment in developing talent. As a Gold Member of the 5% Club, over 12% of the workforce comprises apprentices, graduates and trainees, increasing to nearly 14% after the September 2026 intake. Their development is supported through structured learning pathways and the company’s in-house Training Academy.
Looking ahead, Vital Energi says retaining its existing employees will be as much a priority as continued growth. The company is investing further in employee benefits and wellbeing, ensuring its people are supported as the business continues to scale.
Ella Stokes, People & HR Director at Vital Energi, said:
“Growing from a handful of people to almost 900, spread across offices and sites the length of the country, could easily have diluted what made us who we are. What’s kept us grounded is our people, their creativity, and the way they collaborate to get complex projects delivered, wherever they’re based. This certification is proof of that, not because we say so, but because almost everyone who works here took the time to tell us. We’re proud of that, and we’ll keep listening as we continue to grow.”
Vital Energi delivers projects across the UK from offices in Blackburn, Glasgow, London, Swansea, Hereford and Burton-on-Trent, with its Blackburn head office home to its fabrication facility and Training Academy.
